東方湧出淨琉璃
From the East shines the pure light
照見人間悲與喜
illuminating sorrows and joys
of the world
一念佛心 映澈在心底
The Buddha-nature
lies deep within the depths of the soul
輕安自在自來去
It is freedom and liberation
coming and going with ease and freedom

滾滾紅塵 煩惱揮不去
In the defiled mundane world
mired in afflictions
來來去去 六道不停息
returning again and again
manifesting in all six realms of rebirth
一念佛心 永不離
The Buddha-nature
never forsaking living beings
來去人間 淨如琉璃
continually returning to this impure world
forever clear as crystal

So the stars still gleam in the sky
And the moon rises up in the night
Deep from within comes the light of hope
Compassion and love unfold

他們默默　憐視著人間
As their hearts go out
full of mercy to the world
他們不忍　地球受毀傷
How it bleeds to see the earth in despair
他們心疼　蒼生多苦難
With grace they would lift
all the suffering and pain
他們永遠　陪伴膚慰人間
They'll be there till the end of time
